Georgia is a state in the Southeastern region of the United States, bordered by North Carolina and Tennessee to the north, South Carolina to the east; Alabama to the west; and Florida to the south. The state’s natural resources are managed by Georgia Department of Natural Resources through the Wildlife Resources Division. The agency’s mission is to conserve and promote fishing, hunting and wildlife resources through management, education and scientific research. Game Management manages one million acres of land and more than 100 Wildlife Management Areas (WMAs) for hunting, fishing, wildlife enhancement, bird watching, hiking, camping and conservation education. Information on licenses and seasons can be found at www.georgiawildlife.com. Registered users can purchase hunting and/or fishing licenses as well as alligator harvest permits and Georgia migratory bird stamps. Seasons are presented for each species including bag and size limits.
