About
New Mexico is a state in the Southeastern region of the United States, bordered by Colorado to the north; Texas to the east; Texas and Mexico to the south; and Arizona to the west. The state’s natural resources are managed by the New Mexico Department of Game and Fish. The mission of department is to conserve, regulate, propagate and protect the wildlife and fish within the state of New Mexico using a flexible management system that ensures sustainable use for public food supply, recreation and safety.
Per the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation, New Mexico is home to 304,000 hunters and recreational anglers who spend $579 million annually and support 7,695 jobs. Seasons & Regulations
Information on licenses and seasons can be found at www.wildlife.state.nm.us. Registered users can purchase hunting and/or fishing licenses or permits as well as register a harvest. Seasons are presented for each species including bag and size limits.
