About

Nebraska is a state in the Midwestern region of the United States, bordered by South Dakota to the north; Iowa to the east; Kansas to the south; and Colorado and Wyoming to the west. The state’s natural resources are managed by Nebraska Game and Parks.

The mission of the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission is stewardship of the state’s fish, wildlife, park, and outdoor recreation resources in the best long-term interests of the people and those resources. The department oversees 78 parklands and trails for outdoor enthusiasts, while also focusing our efforts on conservation that supports wildlife, fish and plant diversity and health. The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission is funded primarily by the sale of hunting and fishing licenses, as well as through the sale of park permits and goods and services at state parks and recreation areas.

Per the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation, Nebraska has more than 289,000 hunters and anglers who spend $780 million annually and support 12,085 jobs, For more information on hunting and fishing in Nebraska please visit www.outdoornebraska.gov and for information on traveling to Nebraska visit www.visitnebraska.com.
