Ambassador Guides is based in Page Lake Powell, AZ and is owned and operated by Bill & Judy McBurney. Captain Bill has been providing quality experiences for both novice and proficient anglers. He is US Coast Guard and AZ Game & Fish licensed, and holds a CUA Permit with Glen Canyon National Park Service. The Captain is the first licensed guide in the Glen Canyon National Park and is most at home when he is on the water. He is a great steward of the environment and carries this with him whenever he is on the Lake. When on the Lake, he always reflects what it represents to him and tries to share that with his clients.

Coming from a Ranching background Bill relates to people in a generous, quiet, reflective manner. He also has so much knowledge he can make the most inexperienced person look good and come away feeling like they really were successful. Customers love to hear Bill’s great fishing stories from Lees Ferry and lake Powell! Having a Fun Day is Most Important Bill is a teacher and his focus is to help people learn fishing techniques on Lake Powell and totally enjoy the day. How Does Bill Know Where to find the Stripers and other Fish? Captain Bill has a keen sense of knowing where the fish are before anyone even sees them. He is very aware and will call “fish on” before anyone even realizes it. He also doesn’t fish where all the “masses” are, he likes to be away from the people and put his people on to “quality fish” and also enjoy some great scenery they might not ever see.
