Captain Chris Newsome offers guided fly fishing and light tackle fishing charters on the Chesapeake Bay of Virginia. Newsome is a native of the Tidewater region and has guided anglers on Virginia's saltwater for over two decades. As the area's only full-time saltwater fly fishing and light tackle guide, Chris is widely regarded as an expert in his craft. Charters are located on the calm, shallow waters of VA's Middle Peninsula and Northern Neck. Anglers use fly or spin fishing tackle for inshore species such as striped bass, speckled trout, redfish, Spanish mackerel, bluefish, cobia and more. Enthusiastic and patient, Capt. Chris Newsome welcomes all skill levels from children to accomplished anglers. He always works hard to share his knowledge and create a memorable fishing experience for his clients.​
