New River Fly Fishing

Mike has guided on the New River since 1998 and is always passionate about sharing his experience with clients and other anglers both on and off the water. Over the years, he has been a featured speaker at numerous fly fishing events and has introduced hundreds of novice anglers to the sport he loves through his popular on-the-water beginner fly fishing classes. He is also an avid saltwater angler and regularly hosts trips to the the Bahamas and elsewhere. Since 2010, Mike has been the Product and Brand Development Specialist for Flymen Fishing Company as well as a fly designer. His patterns were featured in the May/June 2013 issue of Eastern Fly Fishing Magazine. Mike has also authored a series of fishing guidebooks published by the University of Virginia Press, which include Fishing the New River Valley, An Angler's Guide among other titles.
