See You On The River ! FISHING Spend the day with an experienced, professional angler as they guide you down a premier trout stream offering both stocked Rainbows, Brook Trout and wild Browns. Float trips are schedule based on flow conditions and must be arraigned in advance. The Smith river has Virginia’s highest catch rate of wild Brown trout as per data from the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries. The Brown trout of the Smith River are not always the biggest Browns you will catch in Virginia Rivers but you will enjoy matching wits with some of the “wilyest” trout in the state. No stocking program for browns on the Smith means you are catching 100% stream spawned fish….and they are crafty ! Enjoy a relaxing trip down the river in comfort and style while you match wits with these beautiful jewels. A variety of tactics and tackle are used. Fly fishing trips are primary but spin fishing can be accommodated as well. We practice catch and release only.
