About the Owner
The Inn soon operated its own farm, which provided fresh produce and dairy products for guests’ meals. It quickly earned a reputation as Cape Cod’s most beautiful address.
Under its present owner, Chatham Bars Inn has undergone a $100 million renovation that has left nothing untouched. All rooms in the Main Inn were completely renovated, as were its restaurants and public spaces. The cottages were completely redesigned and redecorated. Old world charm was retained but updated with every modern convenience and amenity.
Since then, the Inn has won numerous awards including the prestigious Forbes Four-Star award. It has become a member of Preferred Hotels & Resorts Legend Collection, and has been named "Best Hotel on Cape Cod" by Boston Magazine in the “Best of Boston” 2021 Reader’s Choice Awards, voted "Top Resort in New England" by Condé Nast Traveler in the 2018 Readers’ Choice Awards, and one of the top resorts in the world by Travel & Leisure Magazine. Chatham Bars Inn was also recognized by Boston Weddings Magazine as “Best Cape Cod Wedding Venue”. In addition, the Inn was awarded several accolades by the Massachusetts Lodging Association including “Community Service Leader of the Year” for its ongoing commitment to protecting the local environment and “Innovative Hotel of the Year” for its spa products utilizing produce sourced from the Farm. The US News & World Report has ranked Chatham Bars Inn among the TOP Best Massachusetts Hotels in 2021.
