In 2017, local chapters of Pheasants Forever helped launch Iowa's "Southwest Communities for Pheasants and Farming Initiative" to benefit wildlife habitat, hunting access, farm profitability, and economic benefits for rural Iowa.

Since its inception, over 1K acres of new walk-in hunting access has been created, and Aldo Leopold's vision for the connection between land and community is being realized.

Seasons & Regulations

Information on licenses and seasons can be found at www.iowadnr.gov. Registered users can purchase hunting and/or fishing licenses as well as report harvests. Seasons are presented for each species including bag and size limits.
